Home care: a genuine alternative to a care home
Many families come to us after starting to research residential care for an elderly parent, and are relieved to find there’s another option. Staying at home, with the right level of support, lets someone keep their own routine, their neighbours, their pets and their independence — while still getting the help they need with everyday tasks.
Home care can flex as needs change, from a single daily visit to full-time live-in care, so you’re not locked into a bigger move than’s actually needed. For many families it’s also a way to delay or avoid a care home move altogether, while still having peace of mind that a trained, familiar care worker is checking in.
If you’re not sure whether home care or a care home is the right fit for your situation, we’re happy to talk it through, including what’s realistic for your budget and your parent’s needs. Call us on 01603 407707.
Home help for disabled and elderly people in Norwich
Not everyone needs personal care. Sometimes what’s needed is simply a reliable home help. Our home help visits cover light housework, laundry, ironing, changing bed linen, and keeping the home clean and comfortable. It’s a popular option for elderly people who are otherwise independent but finding day-to-day chores harder to manage, and it’s often the first step families take before any personal care is needed.
How we deliver our homecare service
Before starting your care, we’ll arrange a home visit to assess your needs and create a Care Plan with your input. All information will be kept confidential. Our trained staff will meet your individual needs, and a professional team will coordinate your service, available at all times through our office or emergency number.
As your needs change, we will review and update your Care Plan at least once a year. We’ll discuss any changes with you to ensure you’re happy with them. You can request changes anytime your circumstances change.
We aim to provide your home care service at convenient times with consistent care staff. While 100% continuity isn’t always possible, due to work schedules, holidays and staff sickness, etc we strive to deliver reliable care with staff you’re comfortable with.
