This statement constitutes Focus Caring Services Limited’s modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 28 February 2024.
Focus Caring Services is committed to ensure that no form of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced and compulsory labour is tolerated within its business and supply chain. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to any form of exploitation or deprivation of people’s liberty for personal or commercial gain.
Our policies reflect our high standards and commitment to combating any form of modern slavery not only within our business but also with our suppliers. This includes training our staff how to identify instances of modern slavery and advising where they can get appropriate help and advice.
Focus Caring Services Limited conducts robust checks that potential employees can demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK and ensure they are not victims of human trafficking or being forced to work against their will before confirming employment. In addition, contractors and agency staff also need to undergo eligibility checks before commencing work with the company.
In our effort to monitor and reduce the risk, modern slavery, has been added to our governance and risk management framework. This involves identifying, assessing and reviewing potential risks both within the business and our supply chains.
Any concerns of potential risks raised, are investigated, and dealt with appropriately with due diligence and all necessary steps are taken to mitigate or rectify the concerns including terminating any relationships with supply chain partners where necessary.
Focus Caring Services Limited invests in mandatory training to enable senior staff to understand and recognise the potential risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and our supply chain. Through our training programmes and other communication channels, we equip all our employees with the right knowledge and expect them to have an awareness of our Anti-slavery policies.
The organisation has a clear framework of rules and behaviours. We actively encourage an open culture where concerns raised are dealt with in a safe, supportive and confidential manner, making it easy for our workers to make disclosures without fear of retaliation.
Focus Caring Services Limited remains committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within its business and supply chain. It is our corporate and social responsibility to continue to improve and strengthen the existing safeguards that are already in place, to provide adequate resources, training and investments to ensure that potential risks are dealt with, mitigated and rectified.
