Carers’ respite breaks

By E GRACE•14 Jun, 2019Do you need a break from your caring role? What are Respite Breaks?
Respite involves taking a break from caring, while the person you care for is looked after by someone else.
If you have care responsibilities it can be tiring and have an impact on your own health. Respite care lets you take time off to do something relaxing or enjoyable. It can help stop you becoming exhausted and run down.
How can Purely Care help?
Sitting services

A care worker can sit with the person you care for during the day, so you can have a few hours off from your caring role. The care worker can help with personal care if needed as well as companionship.

Taking the person you care for out
The care worker can take the person you care for out, which allows you to have a beak at home.
Night time care
One of our care workers can sit with the person you care for through the night, allowing you the chance to get some sleep.
Short term live in care
A live-in care worker provides round the clock care. This could allow you to go away for a holiday, or cover your caring role if you have to go into hospital.
